Dusting Off the Warrior

So, while waiting for Cataclysm, I've leveled my Shaman, Portobello, up to 80 in the last few weeks and got him some gear.  I ran some heroics and was thinking about adding a restoration spec and trying some healing, but I've never tried healing before, and am a bit intimidated by it.  Just like with my level 80 paladin, I want to tank, but her gear is crap, and I don't want to wander in with a bunch of well geared veterans and embarrass myself.

Tempus was my very first toon in WoW, rolled up on day one of release.  I parked her at level 62, and she's not budged since BC shortly after Burning Crusade came out.  The warrior class always frustrated me, as I spent so much time soloing.  But, as they say, that was then, and this is now.  We're in the age where tanks and healers can queue up almost instantly for instance runs via the Dungeon Finder tool.

I re-specced her as protection, researched the ability rotation, and hit the button to find her a group.  A few seconds later, I found myself in the Slave Pen in Coilfang Reservoir, wihch I've never set foot in on any toon.  And now, I'm tanking it after about 3 years away from this character.

I did pretty good.  Four runs later, and she's got 2 more levels under her belt.  I never even stepped foot outside of Ironforge.  I'm feeling a bit more confident, so I may go for a bit and see where this leads me.  I'd love for the toon to be on the Horde side, but Tempus was born a night elf from the first day of the game, and it doesn't seem right to change that.  I may feel differently down the road though.
