The Rise of Squood

Had a very productive weekend on Squood. I rolled him on Thursday evening, and he's level 23.

I was enjoying my alliance warrior in the mid-60s, but I wanted to be where my wife and friends are on the horde side of Steamwheedle Cartel, so I just said screw it, deleted an alt and made a tauren warrior. Gave him some heirlooms and a bag of gold, and sent him on his way.

He's got his mount. He's successfully run Ragefire Chasm, Wailing Caverns, Deadmines, Blackfathom Deeps, and Shadowfang Keep. He's decked out in mostly blues. With the Venerable Mass of McGowan enchanted with Crusader, he tops the damage meter most times and he's tanking. It dropped me into Gnomeregan as the tank this morning, which was absurd, because most of the mobs were around 27 and I was 23. We didn't go too far because a few of the DPS got over ambitious and died and immediately left without a word. He also did Warsong Gulch at 19, collected his first honorable kills and won with Warsong Perfection. The horde kicks ass on this battlegroup!

Not bad for only 4 days old.

The warrior is a *lot* more fun than it used to be. The dungeon finder allows this class to be played as it was meant to, and he's getting good gear to keep himself at the front of the curve. I've noticed too, that when someone leaves, it ports the replacement in right to where you are, so they don't have to run through trying to find you, which is nice in some of these old instances.

It's amazing how many people say "I've never done this one." I almost always get the leadership role, but it's been years since I've been in some of these places. I'm not doing Wailing Caverns again - way too long. I can't believe how fast it's going now. Having a lot of fun, and really re-learning this class.
