There's always gotta be one...

I had the first jerk in a while in an instance last night. I was doing Sunken Temple with my tauren warrior Squood, and there's the room with Jammal the Prophet, and a lot of those guys cast fear. A hunter pet got hit, and ran up & attracted the boss and 2 other packs of mobs, causing a wipe. It's a long run back, but we only lost one guy. A replacement zoned in, and we finished the room. On the way to the last boss, the new guy pipes up, "How come you aren't holding aggro?" I look, and he's a warrior who got put in the DPS role. I guess he had to show his e-peen and make a comment about my tanking, even though I had just had 2 successful princess runs and 2 successful Sunken Temple runs prior to this one. I think I got frogged during Jammal, and he goes after other people during that. I didn't even dignify it with a response. We killed the last boss, and if you haven't cleared out all the trash, which we hadn't, they all come pouring into the room. I zoned out and left him there to show the group how aggro is held, since he's mastered it. I felt bad for the other guys, but only for a few seconds.

I have a feeling this is how things are going to be when I get to level 58 and death knights with something to prove start showing up.  Everyone and his uncle will be a tank for a few levels.

You can always tell the guys who are just looking to be jerks by making comments about gear, or how much life someone has, etc. in a lower level instance. Nobody cares. We're just here to kill the boss, get our bag and leave. If things are dying, who cares about those things? I've had some groups where we continue and do 2 or 3 more runs, and then someone has to leave and new guy will come in a whisper me to kick one of the other guys for not doing enough DPS. With stuff like that I just feel like asking, "Why do you care about that, and if you do, why would you be a jerk enough to comment out loud about it?"

Life is too short to spend time in a game bickering.

Squood is level 49 - next level I get the warbringer talent, which is a game changer (charge in combat and in any stance). One more after that, and I get Devastate, so the 50s will be fun, as most of the tools will finally be in place.  Looking forward to Blackrock Depths, Dire Maul, Scholomance, and Stratholm next!
