Grinding away

I didn't do very much exciting in the game this week.  I was pretty busy with some web projects, so I just hammered out dailies when I had time to play.  I've been knocking out the Knights of the Ebon Blade, and am almost exalted with Skulfrak, although there's not much I want from them. I just like those quests, and they drop a ton of cloth.  I should be done with them in a few days.

I also have been working on Sons of Hodir, and that's moving pretty slow.  Not looking forward to the weeks ahead grinding that one out.  The grand mammoth mount would be cool, though, and I want the Glacial Bag pattern from them, as well as the shoulder enchant.  Kind of a must-do faction for me.

I was getting a bit burned out on dailies, so I dusted off my level 46 Orc warlock, Oakley, on Icecrown, and blew through two more levels on her.  I really hated the drop in damage and the thought of doing all that grinding again sent me back to my main.  I'll do it again when they give us Goblins, but I don't know if I can stomach leveling through the old world and Outland again.

  1. Skul, I feel ya man. The only thing that saves me, and you are a little ways away from it, is I loved the BC content. Dailies do not keep me comming back but I am running a 72 shaman so I need to get back in there and reach 80. Great blog btw man!

  2. Thanks, B. :)

I have 4 80s right now, and 2 70+ toons, so I'm feeling thinly spread. I finally started focusing most of my efforts on one toon, and he's improving by a good bit. I know in the back of my mind that all this grinding won't mean squat when the next expansion drops, so I keep going back to leveling alts for fun. My Icecrown toon was a nice month-long distraction, and I may go back to her. I get a lot of fun out of starting a new character on a realm where I don't know anyone and seeing how fast I can carve out some levels and gold, knowing what I know now?

What server/faction do you play on?
