Working Night & Day

My playtime lately has been spent on professions.  Hordeside, on Steamwheedle Cartel, I capped jewelcrafting, enchanting, tailoring, and inscription, and started making some pretty good gold.  I decided to take a bunch of it and roll it into maxxing alchemy and blacksmithing on my warrior.  Alchemy was easy.  Blacksmithing is costing a little more, but I only have 5 points to go, and then buy all the other recipes.  I didn't pick a single herb or mine any ore - I bought it all from the auction house over a few days.  I have a high level miner and herber, but it's not worth the time when the farm-bots are bringing in so many resources for cheap prices.

Being able to transmute inferno rubies and Truegold is nice, especially when I get extra procs.  I can buy the crappy green red gems at a steal and turn them into Infernos, which I cut into bold and brilliants on my jewelcrafter for big time profits.  I'm saving up my Truegold for when I have blacksmithing topped out and I'll see if I can make some coin with that.

The expensive items don't move too fast on Steamwheedle Cartel.  The general impression is that most people have more gold than they know what to do with, but I don't think that's the case.  Either guilds have crafters that are supplying most players needs, or your average player can't afford to spend 4000 gold for a weapon enchant.

I have one more level 80 death knight on SWC without professions, and I'm thinking of taking up engineering on her after I recover some of the gold I spent leveling alchemy and blacksmithing.
